5th Grade Market Day
5th graders had their final “Market Day” of the year this week. I was tempted to have them dye my hair, but I had two after school activities to attend.
I did purchase some amazing market day items. Thanks 5th graders for sharing your talents.
2nd Grade Concert
The 2nd graders did an amazing job of playing three different instruments for us. They really had the rhythm. Parents, teachers and other classes really enjoyed their performance. Huge shout out to the 2nd grade teachers. Also, thanks Mrs. Lee for all the work you have done to assist the students with playing the boomwackers, sticks and drums.
Band Concert
Our 5th grade band students did an amazing job at the District Concert at Catalina High School on Monday evening. Mrs. Lee did incredible instruction with one year with our 5th grade band students. I was so proud of the music they played.

Congratulations to Mrs. Lee for writing a grant to the Rincon Rotary Club and being awarded with 4 drums for music education here at Ventana Vista. Thanks for all you do Mrs. Lee.
National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration Visits Ventana Vista
Mr. Dean invited Julie Tetrault to visit with the 4th graders in Mrs. Martinez and Mr. Dean’s 4th grade classes about meteorology and atmospheric research. She also discussed how to pursue an interest in meteorology and what classes would be helpful to take in high school. The students learned a lot and received some advice for Monsoon Season. Ask your students about this advice.
Orchestra Concert
The advanced orchestra students did an amazing job at the District Advanced Orchestra Concert on Tuesday evening. Wow, can they ever play well. Also, our beginning Orchestra students did an amazing job at the District Orchestra Concert last evening. Huge shout out to Ms. Cioca for her great orchestra leadership with our students.
