Chapter 4: Building Collegial Relationships
Author Kafele reminds us of the importance of supporting teachers who are either new to the building or new to the profession with solid support systems. Beyond a mentor-mentee relationship, leadership teams should be HANDS ON with new teachers so that the proper relationship can be created and maintained. After all, we want our new teachers to return the following year!
Ms. Hill's ask: What active and regular steps are you using to support our teachers new to the profession? Reflect and take necessary steps to retain our new teachers.
Here's to a great week of teaching and learning!

A Note From Your Executive Director...
Team,
I will finish our Coaching Visits centered around monitoring the current curriculum alignment status and progress on campus action plans in our schools. We will be using the curriculum alignment rubric (classroom & leader) and progress on campus action plan rubric as foundation tools for our coaching conversations. Please take stock of the items listed on the rubrics and begin working with your teams to address any areas that may not be on track. If you have already had your visit, you should have definite next steps to monitor both of these items prior to our mid-year reviews that will occur in December.
As a reminder, SCHOOLNET has resources to assist with your professional development needs. Not only are there resources for leadership teams to present to teachers, there are PD offerings for teachers to improve their craft. Please take advantage of these district resources.
Here's to a great week of teaching and learning!
