The Department of Federal Programs' Office of Family Engagement invites all families to join the “Spring Family-School Partnership Advisory Council (PAC)” meeting on March 28, 2024, from 6:00 until 7:30 PM.
We are excited to again meet in person with families in the Grayson Room at the Instructional Support Center (ISC). GCPS families will receive information about Multilingual Learners, Early Learning and School Readiness, the Homeless Education Program, Migratory Students, and the Foster Care Program, and have the opportunity to provide input on how these funds are utilized to support students, staff, and schools.

Solar Eclipse 4/8
SOLAR ECLIPSE 2024
On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. In Gwinnett County, weather permitting, we will experience a partial solar eclipse between 1:45 p.m. and 4:21 p.m., with the maximum at 3:04 p.m.
This is a normal school day for Gwinnett County Students. The district has purchased viewing glasses for all students and staff. All students will go outside from 1:45-2:20 to participate in the viewing experience. We will dismiss at our normal time of 2:45. Early checkout will end at 1:15 to allow time for the front office to locate your child prior to the event. Students will be dismissed via their normal mode of transportation.
If you want your child to opt out of the viewing experience, please complete the form below and return it to your child's teacher by Wednesday, March 27th.

This is an exciting time to recognize how much we appreciate the time and effort teachers put into making engaging learning experiences for all students at Alcova. Brand-new confidence-boosting adventures are waiting this summer at Camp Invention®! Mulberry Elementary will host this innovative K-6 program for the 2nd year July 15th- July 18th from 8am to 4pm.

Emergency - "Day of" Transportation Change Requests
If you have a emergency transportation change request you must email 978.transportation@gcpsk12.org for the change to be processed. Please use this email only for "day of" emergency changes, where you were not able to send a note in with your student. Change request must be received no later than 1:30 pm to guarantee the change request will be processed.
Car Rider Info
Just a Reminder: The Car Rider Lane will close at 8:15 am. All students arriving after 8:15, must check in at the front office with the parent. Please do not drop your child off if the doors are closed.
