Welcome Back to School!!!

I hope everyone has had a restful and enjoyable summer. We are SO excited to see all of our students and their families next Tuesday, August 27th for our first day of school!!! The first day will be a HALF DAY of school beginning at 9:10 and ending at 12:20 pm.

Graham has been under construction for the entire summer. The staff is just getting back to the building on Thursday for the first time so we are doing our very best to have things looking fabulous for our students. I am really excited for everyone to see the updates to the building. It looks great! I do ask though that you PLEASE bear with us while we are still under construction for a majority of this school year.

Our Open House will be held on September 4th from 5:00-6:00 pm. Please understand that this decision was made due to the contruction schedule. We look forward to our families getting to meet their students' teachers and see the building once it is looking fresh. Speaking of teachers....those classroom assignments will be available on FRIDAY, AUGUST 23rd in Mistar. You will need to log in to your parent connect to see who they are assigned to this school year. Please call the school if you need help logging into your account.

August 27th is the first day of school. School begins at 9:10 and will end that day at 12:20 pm. Students will meet their teacher outside of rhe building on the first day in the area of where their classroom will be. Teachers will have signs that they will hold up that you can locate them. We will have SEVERAL adults outside to direct our students and families. Students will be dismissed from the same area where they lined up in the morning. August 28th and 29th will be FULL days of school with dismissal at 4:00 pm.

Our school entrance has been updated! We now have a vestibule where you will enter after showing your ID to Mrs. Harper on the camera. If you are picking up a child early from school, you will remain in the vestibule and your child will be brought to you. If you are dropping off a lunch or picking up homework, that will also be done in the vestibule. There will be sign out sheets and containers for lunches and homework out in that area.

The only reason that adults will enter into the office will be if you are here for a meeting, medication drop off, volunteering in a classroom, or registration. This system might feel a little bit different but this is all for the safety of our staff and students at Graham.

We hope you can join us on September 4th from 5:00-6:00 for our Back to School Open House. Come in and see the building, your child's classroom and meet the staff.

Just a reminder that due to the Labor Day holiday, there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, August 30th and Monday, September 2nd.
