Third Week of Advent
School-Wide Theme for the Year
At St. Joseph Catholic School, each and every day we are training students to be missionary disciples, and learning to recognize God in our lives and in the world around us,
with hearts full of CHARITY for our fellow man.
Our Mission and Vision Statements
Mission:
St. Joseph Catholic School provides students with a nurturing and prayerful learning environment committed to academic excellence, training missionary disciples to seek virtue, wisdom, and truth, in partnership with a community of active and faithful families.
Vision:
Catholic schools in the Diocese of Fort Worth are committed to opening the doors so that our students can reach further than the walls that would otherwise enclose them and therefore are able to recognize and cherish the eternal and transcendental goods of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.
Motto:
Teaching the Mind...Nourishing the Soul
From the Principal

8th Grade Student of the Month Award Recipients
Our October 8th Grade Student of the Month: Matthew Bernal (son of our teacher, Mrs. Bernal )
Matthew is a very conscientious student. He truly has the desire to learn. He is polite and respectful to his teachers as well as his classmates. Matthew is has an attitude of service, and shows enthusiasm in every activity. He brings a positive attitude to class everyday, and is always looking for ways to go above and beyond. Matthew is involved with Lego Club and Robotics.
Our November 8th Grade Student of the Month: Vivienne Haliburton
Vivienne is a kind person. She will go out of her way to make sure everyone is included. She always puts forth her best efforts in her school work. If something needs done, she is the first to volunteer to do it. Vivienne takes initiative with tasks, desires to do well, and shows a willingness to serve her classmates. Vivienne is involved in volleyball, softball, and Girl Scouts.
Congratulations to Vivienne and Matthew! Thank you for being beautiful examples of what it means to be missionary disciples.
Frassati Medal Award Recipient
Congratulations to Jackson Newman-Graham for earning the Frassati Medal Award! Nearly every day on the way in from recess, Jackson has been witnessed going out of his way to bring in extra recess balls and lunch boxes others have left behind. This happens very often and Jackson takes it upon himself to help his teachers and fellow Knights.
The Beatitude Jackson embodies is "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
Monday Morning Prayer Services
Thank you to Ms. Escutia and her Kindergarten class for leading the school community in prayer! Servant leaders already in the making!
Thank you, Mrs. Heid and her Second grade class for doing such a wonderful job of leading the school community in prayer. Well done!
Thank you, Mrs. Rusnak and her Second Grade class for sharing their love with the school community through prayer. We appreciate you!
Los Posadas Prayer Service
Our First Grade Knights did such a beautiful job honoring the journey of Mary and Joseph to the stable! This is a tradition at SJCS and we are grateful to Mrs. Aguirre, Mrs. Corneil, our parents and our students for giving of themselves to honor the "Los Posadas" tradition, a beautiful gift to Baby Jesus!
Our Lady of Guadalupe Prayer Service
The Class of 2025 performed the "Our Lady of Guadalupe" play to honor the Blessed Mother on her special feast day, another tradition of SJCS for all to enjoy! Well done, Mrs. Ricciardi and our Eighth Grade Knights. We love each and every one of these students! You leadership will be missed as you move on to high school.

We are very proud of all the Knights who participated in our school's spelling bee. It is not easy to prepare for this event and you all went the extra mile to be a part of this event. Thank you for sharing your academic gifts with us!
Knights in the Classroom
Thank you for taking on the role of spotlighting prominent saints for the school community, Student Council Chaplain, Katie Pham and NJHS Chaplain, Liam Nguyen.
Such a beautiful way for you to exercise your roles.
Our Upper School Knights participated in a walking Rosary to pray for the unborn. Thank you for doing this, Knights. It is so important to be the voice for those who have no voice.
Mrs. Hess's students enjoyed playing their bells to the music in Vocal Production class recently. Truly a pleasure to hear!
Slime Time!
Mrs. Grove and Mr. Rodriguez were the lucky recipients of SLIME from our Booster Challenges! Thank you for being good sports, teachers. They look ready for anything in this photo!
NJHS Giving Back
Our National Junior Honor Society students work to raise funds every academic year. Some of these funds go toward providing a Christmas for those who would not have a Christmas without our help. Great shopping, NJHS Knights! Because of your efforts, there will be some happy children this Christmas Season who are having to spend their holiday at the Arlington Life Shelter. God bless you!
Christmas Program
I was only able to capture a few photos of this glorious night! We had band students and violin students and singing students! What an awesome event! The turn out was fantastic! Thank you for all of your hard work, Knights. Mr. Cullen and Mrs. Bressert, well done! Our students shared their God-given talents with joy!
Altar Server Ministry
Please enjoy the following images of our students giving of themselves to the school and parish community by serving at Mass. What a special way to give back to others and to serve the Lord.
Adventures in Art
Mrs. Stahl and her Preschool and Kindergarten Knights worked so hard to create these adorable little works of art! A close look will reveal all the love and attention these students put into their creations. Bravo!
