The Riflemen Weekly Update
News from DMMS for the Week of September 22, 2024
A Message from Ms. O'Donnell
Dear Daniel Morgan Middle School Students and Families,
Permission slips for our 7th grade field trip to Harpers Ferry will go home on Monday with all 7th grade students. We are looking for some chaperones to join us on the trip. Please ensure you indicate your interest in chaperoning on the permission slip. Permission slips are due October 3rd.
All 7th grade students must be screened for hearing and vision by the school nurse. These hearing and vision screenings will begin next week. Please contact Nurse Doug Shaw with any questions.
We have been selected by the VDOE to participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). This is an assessment given across the United States. It will be given on 10/23/24 to a small group of selected 8th grade students. Matt Roark is the testing coordinator and will be in contact with the families of students who have been selected.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. If I can ever be of any assistance, feel free to reach out to me at any time. Let's make it a great week!
