UPCOMING AUTISM EMPOWERMENT WALK
Our Cooper Health & Wellness Team has joined forces with the Cooper PTA to host an Autism Empowerment Walk on Tuesday April 9, 2024 to raise money to purchase a table and play equipment for the students' play area. On the day of the walk (weather permitting) families will be invited to cheer on students as they walk in honor of Autism Empowerment.
Students can help raise money by asking friends and family members to pledge a donation to support the cause. Click here for the pledge form. Your child should have received a flyers consisting of a pledge form and our fundraising goals and prizes.
We look forward to celebrating our neurodiversity and empowering our students with autism this April and throughout the school year!
SUMMER MEAL ASSISTANCE
The State of NJ-Department of Agriculture will be implementing a permanent Summer EBT (S-EBT) Program beginning this summer that seeks to address food insecurity by providing grocery-buying benefits during the summer months for families with school-aged children who have qualified for free or reduced school meals via the 2023-24 Federal meal application.
Additional information will be forthcoming from the State, however, we need to ensure that our District families are aware of this new, permanent program and have applied, if they have not already done so. S- EBT information is currently on the district website, this information was also shared in Friday’s district e-newsletter.
Paper copies will be available in the Cooper Main Office if needed.
Applications will be accepted until June 14th.

CAR LINE TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGES FOR WEEK OF 3-25-24
Thank you so much to all of our Cooper Families and Staff for your assistance and patience as we navigated some unexpected construction this morning at the entrance to our car line. The construction team anticipates the replacement of our driveway entrance to be complete by the end of this week.
In the meantime, we will follow the Car Line drop-off pattern we established earlier this morning. Please see the image below to verify the drop-off pattern to follow for the remainder of this week. Thank you again for your patience and kindness today. This Cooper Family is capable of anything because we work as a team!!!
SPRING PICTURE DAY
All students will have an opportunity to have their photos taken for the Spring Picture Day on Thursday March 28th. You will receive proofs and may choose to purchase photos if you are interested.
NJ STUDENT LEARNING ASSESSMENT CALENDAR (NJSLA)
The district spring testing calendar has been finalized and added to our school calendars. Keep in mind that healthy sleep and work habits make students feel more comfortable and perform better on assessments. These habits take time to develop.
This is a great time of year to consider the following questions:
- Is my child sleep getting 9-12 hours of sleep every night, including weekends?
- Is screen time (including TV, iPad, phone, etc.) limited to 2 hours per day?
- Is my child encouraged to eat plenty of fruits and veggies?
