Principal's Message

Hello Ockley Families,

Over the past 2 weeks, our students have been collaborating with their peers during Advisory on a Hispanic Heritage Project. As a class, they selected one of the projects listed. I have enjoyed hearing our students discuss Hispanic Culture and what they would like to highlight and celebrate. I am looking forward in seeing the fruits of their labor. October is also LGBTQ+ History Month and students will have an opportunity to learn more about some significant historical leaders in the LGBTQ+ Rights movement.

We are preparing to start our FLEX Intervention & Enrichment support at the start of Quarter 2. During our 90-minute Advisory each week, students will spend about half of that time in a specific group to support or extend their academic learning or in a social-emotional learning support group. We are excited to be able to offer this additional support to meet our students' individual needs.

Lunch Clubs have Started

Our Affinity Groups and Lunch Clubs are up and going. We are currently offering the following Affinity Groups: Black Students United (BSU), LUCHA (Latina/o), Pacific Islander Student Alliance (PISA) and Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA). See below for our full set of offerings.
