Principal's Message
Dear Newark Street School Students and Families,
We're looking forward to a wonderful week ahead! As the weather gets warmer, we encourage everyone to spend some time outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Tomorrow, Monday, March 18th, let's dress in green and gold! Be your best Leprechaun as we start the day with a fun game of Sardines! This schoolwide activity will be our 4-8th grade Power Hour Activity. A big thank you to our Super K's and Wonderful One's for sharing their Positive Behavior Classroom Celebration with the rest of us!
This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week! We want to celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives of all our students. To highlight this, a bulletin board has been created in [Location of Bulletin Board] showcasing and celebrating neurodiversity. Please take a moment to view it and appreciate the diverse minds within our school community. Additionally, students in Mr. E's afterschool program are creating a special message about diverse thinkers on Tuesday, which we will share with the school.
Please be advised that due to recent weather, we are anticipating rough travel and muddy roads in the mornings this week. Please allow extra time for your commute and drive carefully.
Here's what you need to know for the week:
- Monday (Tomorrow): St. Patrick's Day - Dress in Green! Game of Sardines.
- Tuesday: Students in Mr. E's afterschool program will be creating a special message about diverse thinkers.
- Friday: Student-Led Conferences in the afternoon. Report cards will be available.
- Monday (Following Week): Overflow Student-Led Conferences will be scheduled for Monday evening.
We're excited to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, neurodiversity, and look forward to seeing you at the Student-Led Conferences!
