Attendance Matters
The Attendance Team meets weekly to monitor attendance. The Attendance goal is 94% for every student. There are 180 school days, so 10% of the school year is 18 days, this should be the max for the school year. We have been in school for 14 days, so 10% is only 1.4 days. Please make sure if your student is out sick that you report the absence on our website or here so the absences is lawful. https://survey.smcps.org/index.php/23634?lang=en

Character Trait of the Month - RESPECT
This month we are focusing on the trait of respect. Respect means responding with words or actions that show others they are important. Students will be given lessons on respecting themselves, others and the community. Please talk with your child about what respect looks like in each of those areas.
TAKE THE RESPECT QUIZ...
Are you a Respectful person?
True or False
I treat other people the way I want to be treated.
I am considerate of other people.
I treat people with civility, courtesy, and dignity.
I accept personal differences.
I work to solve problems without violence.
I never intentionally ridicule, embarrass, or hurt others.
**If you answered TRUE to all the questions then you are a respectful person
CHARACTER PROGRAM
Green Holly has a school wide character program. A different character trait is highlighted each month. Character lessons are taught monthly, to all grade levels. There's also an animal that represents each character trait. Students in grades K-5 may receive character awards at the quarterly awards assemblies. Please check out the character poster and help reinforce these traits at home.
