“Teaching Calm Down Strategies with Tucker the Turtle”
TNSTEP is proud to partner with TEIS and TN Voices to bring you this valuable opportunity to support emotional regulation in young children.
Presented by TN Voices, this session will introduce parents, caregivers, and early childhood professionals to Tucker the Turtle, a scripted story designed to help young children learn to calm down when experiencing strong emotions. The story teaches children to “tuck into their shell” and use deep breathing techniques, with visuals to reinforce the strategy.
Trainer: Carolyn Burk, IMH-E®, TN Voices
Early Childhood Program Manager, Shelby County & West TN
