IMPORTANT DATES/EVENTS FOR APRIL & MAY
- No School - Staff Development Day
- ACT and Accuplacer test for Juniors - The ACT test will begin at 8:00am (students CANNOT be late). The Accuplacer test will begin at 9:00am (arrive by 8:50am) in the Media Center. Upon completion of the ACT or Accuplacer test, students will be allowed to go home for the remainder of the day. Buses will run on a normal schedule and there will be supervision at school all day for students who need to stay. The 9th, 10th and 12th Grade Students will have an E-Learning Day on April 9th. They should NOT report to the building.
- BHS Conferences - Conferences will be held from 3:30-6:00pm, both virtual and in-person, by invitation only. Parents will receive an email from teachers as their invitation.
- MCA testing - The 11th Grade Students will be taking the MCA Math Test and the 10th Grade Students will be taking the MCA Reading Test. These tests will begin at 8:00am. This does include 11th Grade PSEO Students (per the PSEO contract, they are obligated to take this test). The 9th and 12th Grade Students will have a 2-hour late start on April 25th (classes will begin at 10:00am). Buses will run their regular scheduled routes. Students that ride the bus or that need to be dropped off at the regular school day time should report to the Commons Area where they will be supervised until they report to their class at 10:00am.
- BHS Flex Friday/No New Homework Weekend - Students could be invited by one or more of their teachers to come into the school on a Flex Friday in order to get intervention time and enrichment opportunities BUT any student that would like to come in and meet with their teachers on those Fridays are more than welcome! We will follow a regular school day schedule so for instance, if the student wants to visit with their 2nd block teacher they will need to come in during that time frame. If your student was not invited nor voluntarily wants to come in on a Flex Friday, they do not have to report to school.
- Prom - Grand March - 4:30pm in the BHS Performing Arts Center
- Prom - Dinner (6:30pm-arrive no earlier than 6:00pm) & Dance (8:00-11:00pm) at Somerby

- AP Environmental Science Test, 8:00-11:00am

PROM 2024
Juniors and Seniors,
Please visit the Byron High School Prom website to find out more information about Prom on April 27, 2024. The link can be found HERE or on the BHS website.
- ONLINE ticket sales for prom will be Monday, April 1st-Friday, April 5th at 11:59pm.
- IN-PERSON ticket sales for prom will be Monday, April 8th-Friday, April 12th, 7:30-7:55am in room 3336 (Cash or check only).
Tickets are $60/person

BYRON POST PROM
The junior class parents are busy planning a fun post prom. This year we will return to a traditional post prom and hold after prom from 11:30pm-2:00am at Chip Shots in Rochester. Scan QR code on flier (below) or click HERE for more information. The event is free and coach bus transportation will be provided to and from the event at no cost. Win win! Sign-up for the event will be required and available starting in mid-April. Looking forward to holding a fun event for our juniors, seniors, and their guests!
