We want to hear from you – no matter how you get to school!
Whether you walk, bike, carpool, use transit or drive, how you get to school matters. Please take this brief survey and tell us a little about your school commute, known barriers and how we can work to create safer, healthier school zones.
You can also enter to win a free goody bag! (winners will be chosen at random each week from survey submissions that include e-mails).
Let's get the most responses of any school in CCUSD!!!!!
Walk & Roll Festival
Walk & Roll Festival
Our family-friendly bike safety event returns Sept 15. Perfect for getting ready to bike to school. Catch up on bike safety skills, register your bike and even learn to ride. Student volunteers are most welcome and can also earn community service hours. Plus free helmets and goody bags for all (while supplies last)
Presented in partnership with the Culver City Rotary Foundation, the Festival will have something for everyone with multiple skills courses, bike repair, food and music.
Culver CityBus will be on site teaching participants how to load their bikes on the bus and all about the GoPass program – free transit for CCUSD students.
Culver City Police Department will be on site providing free bike registrations to help prevent bike theft.
We will have mechanics on site to service bikes throughout the day and instructors dedicated to offering learn to ride lessons.
Sunday, September 15, 10a - 1p, CCMS Parking lot
Reflections Art Contest Due October 18
Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications
2024-2025 Meal Applications are available at your school sites. If you do not have any, or if you need more, please let me know and I will have them printed and sent to you ASAP. Remember, this year the applications are bright GREEN and dated in the top left hand corner, "2024-2025."
They can also be found online at https://linqconnect.com
Please remind families that if they receive EBT cards for their children, and they do not receive benefits, such as CalFresh or CalWORKS, they need to submit an application for approval in order to maintain EBT benefits.
Also remember that the higher percentage of free and reduced price students your school site has the better this is when you apply for grants or many other opportunities for school funding. High School students also get reduced prices on their tests when they produce a letter from us that verifies they qualify for meal benefits.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
NOTE: We accept applications any time of year. Yes, all students eat for FREE (but this has nothing to do with free and reduced price meal qualifications.)
