Newsletter 2024
From Principal Wilken
Dear Tully Families,
We have had an exciting start to the school year with several celebrations last month including our student of the month recognitions. We were also recognized by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation and awarded the title of America's Healthiest Schools for 2024! This is a tremendous accomplishment that highlights our commitment to student health and wellness.
We are also grateful to Tully Unified School District for continuing to provide fresh fruits and vegetables for our students. The healthy snacks have been a big hit, and we appreciate the district's investment in nourishing our Tigers.
Additionally, we had a wonderful turnout for our recent parent-teacher conferences. It was great to connect with so many of you and discuss your child's progress.
As the temperatures start to cool (even if it's still in the 100s!), we wish you all a happy fall season. We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
Warm regards,
Principal Wilken

🍃Tully's Growing Green!
Tully Students Lead the Way in Outdoor Learning
Here at Tully, students have been leading the way in planting seeds, stewarding, and beautifying our outdoor learning spaces! With the school year humming along, we now look forward to our fall season community events.
Garden Workday
On Saturday, October 26th (8:30am-11am), we are asking our wider school community to join the students' efforts for Tully's Garden Workday. We'll be planting and mulching the planters in front of our school as well as preparing the garden for the Tully's Dia de los Muertos event (October 30th).
Sprouting Marigolds and Nasturtiums
Currently, we are sprouting Marigolds and Nasturtiums which we'll be giving away at the events. Our Nasturtium seeds (an edible flower) were provided to us by the Pima County Library as they are the featured seed in the library's "One Seed, One Community" program. The Public Library is giving away these seeds for free as well as other seeds in their Seed Library. **Check out this link for more information: https://www.library.pima.gov/seedlibrary/**
We look forward to seeing you at one (or more than one) of our upcoming events!
