Principal's Message
We are looking forward to our first theatre company performance happening this weekend in the NHS auditorium. Winter athletics also started this week and the building is busy with many club and activity meetings everyday after school. It's a busy time of year at NHS.
Natick High School Parent Teacher conferences are set to take place on Wednesday, 12/14 which is an early release day. Please see the instructions below on how to schedule a conference with your child's teacher.

STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS - RedHawk Pride
On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, the following students were a great assistance to the Natick Service Council in organizing food donations at their location on Webster St. Natick High School partners with the Service Council in various ways, and it's great to see our students in action and assistance to this important community organization. Here are the five students.

On Saturday, November 19th, over 900 students from Eastern Massachusetts traveled to Milton High School to audition for the MMEA 2023 Eastern District Festival. We would like to congratulate the following 22 students from NHS that were accepted:
Orchestra:
Ben Bourgery, (Bassoon) and Lauren Hymes, (French Horn*)
Concert Band:
Michael Atkin (Trumpet*), Erik Broberg (Trombone), Preston Burt (Trombone*), Ryan Carignan (French Horn), Teagan Cunningham (Baritone Sax*), Max Curtis (Trumpet*), Izzy Eio (Flute), Isaac Hoffman (Trumpet), Josh Kang (Oboe), Charles Liu (Clarinet), Sage Nguyen (Trumpet*), Michael Scorpa ( Alto Saxophone), Sarah Shentu (Flute*), and Ellie Stevens (Bassoon*).
Chorus:
Matteo Finnerty, (Bass), Chris Gagliardi (Tenor*), JJ Gilbert (Tenor), Anna Huynh (Alto*), Bailey Knolton (Soprano), and Sammy Rennie (Alto).
Students with asterisks have been invited to audition for the Massachusetts all state festival in March, as well. That audition is in January.
Reminders and Important Points
1) PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES FOR NHS - 12/14
Parent teacher conferences for Natick High School are happening on Wednesday, December 14th in the afternoon. You may sign up in teacher slots for five minute conferences. To schedule times with specific teachers of your child, PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS IN THIS DOCUMENT
2) Wednesday December 14 is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 11.
Natick High School Theatre Company Presents - Little Shop of Horrors
We are excited to host three shows this weekend from the NHS Theatre Company. Little Shop of Horrors debuts Friday (12/2) evening at 7:30pm in the auditorium. Saturday (12/3) has two shows, one at 3:00pm, followed by last show at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased using the QR code in the flyer or by visiting THIS LINK
PAY YOUR CLASS DUES
Calling all Juniors: Class Dues are due! On Tuesday, December 6, your Junior Class Officers will be collecting dues payments both before and after school in the main lobby of the high school. In order to attend the Junior Class Boat Cruise this spring (as well as other fun events during your Senior year), you must pay your Class Dues. Unsure as to whether or not you have paid your Class Dues? Check your student emails -- Mr. Cuoco has emailed every student who has yet to pay their dues. In the email, there are instructions on how to pay your dues. Mental Wellness During Stressful Times: Your Questions Answered!

SPARK Kindness has assembled a team of experts to help you survive and thrive during the hectic end of year season. Author and expert Ned Johnson, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Janine Halloran, and SPARK founder Christine Guthery will offer practical strategies to support you and your loved ones. Are you worried your teen is too dependent on their smart phone and technology is taking up too much of their time? You may be left wondering how all this time with media could be negatively affecting teen mental health – or you might suspect there is already an impact. Fortunately, there are steps parents and caring adults can take to help teens navigate technology in a savvy and healthy manner.

Reminder for Parents Who Want to Volunteer--CORI Checks
Reminder If you want to volunteer in schools, you must have a CORI check conducted and you must go into the building with identification (drivers license or passport) to do this. Click here for description of what a CORI check is and does. Without a CORI check, you cannot volunteer in the school. Here is the form to fill out for a CORI.
