Principal's Message
Beachmont Families,
We are fast approaching the home stretch of the 23-24 school year! There are less than seven weeks left of school and still plenty of work to do. We also want to use the final few weeks to celebrate all of the hard work that students, staff, and families put in every day. We hope to see you at a few of the school-wide events. Please see below for details surrounding these events.
In April, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders completed the ELA MCAS. In May, they will take the Math MCAS and our 5th graders will take the Science, Technology, and Engineering MCAS(see below for dates). MCAS testing can throw off our "regularly scheduled program", but it a good opportunity to see how students are doing individually and also as a school, compared to other students and districts across the state. Good luck to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders!
I want to emphasize that the school year is not over. Student attendance is still critical and we want to support all of our learners both academically and social-emotionally. Progress reports will be emailed home on May 3rd. I encourage you to take a close look and reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or concerns. This is a great opportunity to reflect with your child and set some goals for the remaining weeks of school.
Please be on the lookout for a Parent Survey that will be sent out in the next few weeks. The district wants to hear from all families and your feedback is critical to our success!
It's a great day to be a bee!
Mr. Freisen
