The Weekly Update #4
October 6th, 2024
WEEK 9
We had another great week at RCHS!! As you can see from this newsletter a lot has gone on. We started the Bison Award program this week and Ms. DeLey was our first nomination. I am excited to see who is next. We celebrated September's Attendance winners and the Sophomore class came out on top so they were brought ice cream treats during SRT!! Sixteen kids went on a field trip for Manufacturing Day and visited many local plants. I also want to thank all of those parents who took part in parent teacher conferences on Wednesday. It takes a village and your participation really meant a lot and I believe we have already seen some differences! Everybody have a great weekend and IT'S ALMOST MONDAY!!!!

SPECIAL SHOUT OUT
BISON AWARD WINNER
Sami DeLey was nominated as our first Bison Award Winner for the 2024/2025 school year. Sami is a first year teacher in our Agriculture Department who came in expecting to learn the ropes as a new teacher. She was suddenly put into an unexpected position of FFA Co-Sponsor along with her partner in crime Karley Yager. They have continued to push the Rushville FFA program in a positive direction. We are very proud to have Ms. DeLey as part of the Lion Family. Thanks for making RCHS a better place!
GREATNESS IN THE CLASSROOM
Principles of Agriculture
Ms. DeLey had her Principles class learning and practicing Parli. They were able to debate on the topic, make amendments, and try to convince the class to pass the motion. It was great to watch these young kids learn a great skill.
Life Skills
Each year during October Ms. Corum hides Mr. Bones somewhere around the school. Her students try to find him each day. Great way to learn how to work as a team and map out your search!
