Chardon High School hosts Listen, Lucy
Chardon High School recently hosted Jordan Corcoran, the founder and CEO of an organization called Listen, Lucy, to talk at a student assembly about the importance of destigmatizing discussions regarding mental health.
Over the past decade, Corcoran, based in Pittsburgh, PA, has been sharing her story of living with and managing Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder with thousands of people across the United States.
Corcoran shared her mental health experiences and some of the issues she faced with students during the assembly. She also shared techniques she has learned to help calm anxiety, including controlled breathing, prioritizing self-care, exercise and therapy.
