September 24 and 26: Fall Pictures

September 27: Early Release

Dear Families,

Please be advised that Friday, September 27th, will be a minimum day for all students. This early release will provide our teachers and staff with the opportunity to participate in important professional development sessions aimed at enhancing instructional practices and supporting student success. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please make any necessary arrangements for your child’s early dismissal on this day at 12:15PM.

The city is planning on completing our field's aerification on September 19th. Alas, the time slot for us is between 6:30am and 2:00pm. If they see people on the field, they will just keep on driving, will not come back later, and will not reschedule. Thank you for your understanding!

Please note that phones and smartwatches used for texting or calling are not allowed during school hours. If a student uses any device for outside communication, it will be confiscated and returned at the end of the day for the first offense. For subsequent offenses, parents will be required to pick up the device from the front office. We appreciate your support in ensuring a distraction-free learning environment for all students.

Unfortunately, we’ve noticed that despite clear signage and city regulations, many individuals are allowing their dogs off-leash on the field. This has led to multiple instances of left-behind dog waste, which poses health and safety concerns for our students and families who use the space. As valued members of this community, we kindly ask for your support in following the city's regulations and ensuring dogs remain on-leash. We also encourage you to speak with your neighbors to help keep our campus safe and clean for everyone.

The School Site Council (SSC) is a governing body that is responsible for deciding how to spend the allocated categorical funds to improve the instructional program here at Gage Elementary. The School Site Council members meet for an hour once a month to work together to set goals for improving student achievement at the school and allocating the funds to accomplish those goals. There are a number of parent openings for the 2024-25 term. If you are interested in being on the election ballot, please enter your information below and hit submit.

Do you or someone you know own a business? PTA is looking for sponsors for our annual school Jog A Thon. Your business can't contribute monetarily, but would like to offer a prize...we'll take it! Remember PTA is a non profit and your sponsorship can be tax deductible. All sponsorships are due September 20th.

We need your help to plan the 2024 Fall Festival! Can you help with or take on a small task, plan crafts or activities, contribute ideas, build/repair/decorate games, do prizes, coordinate a food truck, help with communications, decor or one of the many other things it takes to put on this community event?
