Arctic Blast
September 24th, 2024
It was wonderful to see so many families and staff at Parent Night and our Polar Picnic!
This week our K-5 grade level teams will be meeting to discuss student beginning of the year data for our next intervention cycle. Communication to families of students receiving intervention will go home early next week.
Our first Pre-K family event will be Wednesday, September 25th from 12:30-1:30. It is story time with the Crystal Lake Pubic Library. We hope our Pre-K families are able to join us.
Lastly, we had our first collection for our PTA fundraiser on Monday. Our next collection date is Monday, September 30th. We appreciate your help in raising money for so many wonderful opportunities for our students.
Best,
Dr. Gruper, Mrs. Hensley, and Mrs. Evans

Pre-K's first event will be a Family Storytime hosted by the Crystal Lake Public Library on Wednesday, September 25th at 12:30pm. Preschoolers, their younger siblings and grown-ups are all invited to attend! Storytime will be a mix of read-aloud stories and activities all about school & the library! After storytime, the librarian will talk with grown-ups about all the resources available at the public library while children move to the Pre-K gym for more story exploration with teachers and paraprofessionals. This will be a great opportunity to connect with other preschool families, Pre-K teachers, administration and staff! We can’t wait to see you there! Please RSVP using this link: Pre-K Storytime Registration.

Breakfast & Lunch Payments
As we are now in full swing of our routines students are starting to be more comfortable choosing to order breakfast/lunch or even just a milk. Cost for breakfast is $1.50, lunch is $3.35, milk is $.55. Please take a minute to discuss with your student what meal purchase options work for your family and as well as the daily menu choices. Should you decide purchasing is an option or something you allow your children to do, a parent will need to put money on the students account through My Payments Plus or by submitting a check to the school (payable to District 47). (These funds do stay with your student until 8th grade.)
