ORCHESTRA CONTEST RESULTS
Orchestra students participated in the Regional Solo & Ensemble contest at Park Center High School. The contest includes five sites for competition, with a Best of Site winner chosen for each site. Mounds View High School came away with 4 out of the 5 Best of Site awards! Let's congratulate the following performers for their Best of Site performances:
- Violin Solo - Isabel Li
- Cello Solo - Molly Strike
- String Quartet - Yunru Chen, Echo Zhai, Benjamin Hagel, Molly Strike
- String Quartet - Hannah Song, Konomu Gustafson, Sarah Pederson, Katherine Anderson

SPECIAL INVITATION
Congratulations to Gabrielle Bullert for being invited by the MN Girls Hockey Coaches Association to play in the 2024 Senior All Stars Classic this past weekend, representing MVIGH and Section 5. Gabi is committed to UW-Eau Claire next season.

Spring Break - March 11-15
If your student will be missing any additional school days before or after Spring Break, remember to report that to the Attendance Office in advance. The 24-hour attendance line is 651-621-7101, or submit online in your ParentVUE.
ACTIVITIES, ATHLETICS, CLUBS & NEWS
BOYS TRACK & FIELD: All boys interested in Track & Field should plan on attending the preseason meeting today after school in the auditorium.
BOYS BASKETBALL: Good luck to the boys basketball team tonight in their section quarterfinal game against Spring Lake Park! Let’s pack Kauls Court at 7:00 PM and cheer the team to victory!
ROBOTICS: Team meetings this week include:
- Thursday (3/7) from 6:30-9:30 PM
- Saturday (3/9) from 9:00-1:50 PM (building closes at 2:00 PM)
GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Girls Basketball Team plays for the Section 5AAAA Championship this Thursday (3/7) against Maple Grove! Tipoff is at 7:00 PM at Anoka High School. You won’t want to miss it! Hope to see you there! Go Mustangs! ALL 1N!
BOYS GOLF: Anyone interested in trying out for boys golf this spring should attend an informational meeting on Thursday (3/7) at 7:30 PM in the Mounds View High School Forum. Contact Coach Schmidt with any questions.
STUDENT TRAVEL TO CHILE & ARGENTINA - JULY 2025: There are only 15 spaces available for the Chile & Argentina trip. In order to qualify for the $200.00 discount, you need to enroll (link here) by Friday (3/8). See Sra. Tanner in room 260, if you have any questions.
YEARBOOK: Have you ordered a 2024 yearbook? Go to yearbookforever.com to check if you already ordered one. If you haven't, now is the time to check that off your list.
SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
If you are attending a 2 year college next year...Wallin has a scholarship for up to $6000 for students who plan to attend a community college. ULTIMATE FRISBEE NEWS!
Don't delay! Registration closes on Sunday (3/17) for the Spring High School Competitive Season of Ultimate Frisbee. Open to all students in grades 9 to 12. Experienced athletes looking for cross training and new players are all welcome. http://www.mvultimate.org/
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Spring sports first day of tryouts/practice are as follows:
- March 11: softball, boys track & field, girls track & field
- March 18: boys golf, girls golf, baseball
- March 25: boys tennis
- April 1: boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse
Your child must have a valid sports physical on file prior to registering for a Spring sport. Physicals are valid for three (3) years from the date of the exam. Parents can check the current status of their child’s physical through their ParentVUE account by selecting the Student Info tab. The physical date is located at the bottom of the page. If your child's physical expires anytime during the season, you will not be able to register until a new physical is completed and turned in. Physicals may be sent to the Activities Office through any of the following options:

SPRING WEIGHT TRAINING
Students who are not participating in a spring sport can sign up for our Spring Weight Training program led by coach, Conor Mitchell. There are two sessions that run from March 18-May 31 on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays:
- Morning: 6:45-8:15 AM
- Afternoon: 3:30-5:30 PM
