Special Edition Rays Update

Rays,

We have had a wonderful week at Reagan preparing with our staff for the upcoming school year. We cannot wait to see everyone at Meet the Teacher night on Monday and then welcome all our students back to campus on Wednesday.

The assistant principal, Mrs. Murphy, and I have spent much of the week working with teachers with the focus on student growth. We are excited to let our families know that students will be bringing home weekly reflection logs of their learning beginning in September. These logs will have daily reflections and may have goal setting information in them. You will be receiving more information about this from your child's teacher.

On Monday you will receive an email from your child's teacher by 12 pm. This email will provide everything you need to know regarding Meet the Teacher Night. For more Meet the Teacher information, please click the "Special Edition Rays Update 1" button below.

I am excited to serve you as the school nurse, again, this school year. I look forward to meeting all of our new Rays on Monday. I wanted to send some updates regarding medication and vaccinations. Please read the important information below.

Vaccinations: There is a vaccine drive this Saturday August 10th. You can find more information at the following link: Leander ISD/Texas Children's Back to School Vaccine Drive .

Medications: I have listed the most popular documents that parents will need attached below. Texas laws have changed regarding medication at school. The main difference with the medication this year will be the ONLY medication we can legally keep in the clinic will have to be signed off by a doctor, including all Over The Counter medicine like Tylenol, Motrin, or Benadryl for allergies.
