Greetings Collins Community,
Thank you to everyone who completed the survey we distributed earlier this month. The information is very helpful to our staff. We hope to send out surveys quarterly to have another method in which we can hear from our community.
We are changing the format of our newsletters a little bit. The first letter of the month will have a lot of important information and reminders. The second newsletter of the month will include mostly pictures and stories about the learning and fun that was had during the month. We hope you enjoy the photos contained in the newsletter today!
Understandably, Halloween is a fun time for kids. It is one of my personal favorite holidays to enjoy with my family and neighbors. Fortunately, our PTA is hosting a fun event for kids to enjoy wearing costumes with their friends at school.
Some classrooms are having a small celebration on Thursday. These are the appropriate ways in which kids who celebrate Halloween can do so with their friends at school. Please do not permit your student to wear a costume, face paint, masks, etc. to school on Thursday. If someone does so, they will be asked to change their clothes, wash their face, or call home for a change of clothes. If students and staff want to show their Halloween Spirit, they can wear orange and black.
In a couple of weeks, we will have a Veteran’s Day acknowledgement. If you have any pictures of service members in your family, please send them to me so that we may include it in a presentation to our students.
I hope you and your family stay safe while enjoying upcoming festivities and the blustery weather.
Kindest regards,
Ms. Kehoe
