Principal's Message
Hello CV Family,
I realize it hasn’t been that long since we ended the 2022-2023 school year, but we are gearing up on campus to welcome everyone back in late July for next year! We want to share some important items with you earlier this year, which is the reason for this early edition. Please be on the lookout for our next newsletter, which will be sent out in early July with more details about the start of the school year.
Typically I will highlight important information in the newsletter or information I want to personally share with our school community in the format of Three Dots from Mr. Dumas. I added a bonus with some additional important information:
Construction on Campus: The school's exterior is getting painted this summer. The changes are starting to be visible from Germann Road and Quartz Street. The crews are moving quickly and are anticipated to be finished by the start of the school year. We are also getting new flooring throughout the school this summer, which has limited access to certain areas. The crews are working hard and moving quickly, and we have the same expectations for the flooring to be completed by the end of summer.
Summer Office Hours: We are open from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Thursday throughout the week of July 10th. We will return to normal office hours, 6:30 am to 4 pm, starting July 17th. The office will be closed the week of July 3rd in observance of Independence Day and due to the demolition of flooring in Building 1.
SENIOR PICTURES: We have moved to a new vendor for all school photos, and the process for senior photos has changed. More information is available in this newsletter.
Here are some of the top questions we receive this time of year…
When will student schedules be released? Student schedules should be “live” in Infinite Campus (IC) on July 10th. More information will be sent out regarding students' schedules before their release.
When will parking permits be available? There is a section in the newsletter that addresses this process in detail. Please review it.
What is the Link Crew Freshman Orientation? Link Crew’s Freshman Orientation is 7/24 from 7:30 am to 12:15 pm. All incoming students should use this opportunity to become acquainted with our campus and connect with other students, teachers, and student leaders. More information is available below.
Enjoy the remainder of your summer, and we are so very appreciative of your continued support!
Best regards,
Mr. Tyler Dumas

Link Crew Freshmen Orientation
In keeping with tradition our CV Link Crew Program is hosting Freshmen Orientation on Monday, July 24th from 7:30 am - 12:15pm. Schedules are not posted yet, however, students must bring a copy of their schedule to orientation which can be previewed through the student portal from their phones.
**Bus Transportation is available. Routes are found in the portal closer to the start of the school year. Check back often before school starts as bus routes are subject to change. Participants are picked up at their designated location and time and will have transportation home after our orientation.**
Where: All students will meet in the main gymnasium at 7:30 am
Why: We encourage every incoming 9th grader to attend freshmen orientation to meet their assigned link crew leaders, meet other new incoming freshmen, learn about The Campo Way & walk their class schedule before school starts.
If your student is unable to attend they will be contacted by a Link Crew leader the first week of school.
New Student to Campo and not a freshman? Meet in the front office classroom (113) at 9:00 am to meet your Link Crew Leader and to tour the campus. The campus tour and introduction will take place from 9-10 am.

Senior Yearbook Pictures
Class of 2024!
The first step of your senior journey is to have your portrait taken for the yearbook. The yearbook's deadline for senior pictures is September 6, 2022. In order to meet this deadline, we have partnered with Southwest Portraits in Tempe, AZ to take your yearbook photos.
There are two options: Please read through this letter completely for details and choose the option that works best for you.
OPTION 1
Schedule an online appointment with Southwest Portraits to have your portrait taken at their Tempe studio located at 5450 S Lakeshore Dr. Suite 108, Tempe, AZ 85283 before the September deadline.
Key Information about Option 1:
- Senior Portraits can be taken at the Southwest Photography Studio by calling 480-222-1199 to set an appointment. We had an error with the mailers, however, appointments can still be made by calling.
- It is recommended that Seniors bring their own clothing. However, if necessary, the studio will provide loaner jackets, ties, and drapes as needed.
- All studio services beyond the sitting (scheduling, ordering pictures, and paying fees) will be conducted online.
- The Yearbook portrait sessions will include 9-14 headshots on blue/brown tone background to select one for the yearbook.
- A deluxe session is offered with up to three outfits, including the yearbook outfit, inside and outside in each outfit.
- Portraits will be shown immediately after the session for the students/parents to choose the yearbook portrait and see available options (choosing the yearbook pose, ordering photos, and any additional payment.)
OPTION 2
Take your senior yearbook photo on campus on senior picture day which takes place on August 1st, 2nd, and the final date of September 6th in the auditorium lobby.
Key Information about Option 2:
- A limited number of poses will be taken on the yearbook background only.
- Students must be dressed to impress (collared shirt, tie, dress, and/or professional blouse) for their senior portrait.
Dress Code Note: For both options, students must dress to impress (collared shirt, tie, suit jacket, dress, and/or professional blouse/professional wear). Clothing must be free of logos/signage/text and should not be transparent or too revealing. Headwear is not permitted (except in the case of religious or medical purposes).
Students are required to wear formal attire that would follow the school dress code. Please avoid plunging necklines strapless attire, or spaghetti straps. Darker colors will look best on the senior portrait background.
Picture Days
Retake day will be September 6th
Club Photo Day is February 15th.
Senior Panoramic Photo Day is TBD.

Transcript Orders Through Parchment
Campo is now using Parchment to order and send out all transcripts. Parchment is a vendor that electronically sends transcripts upon a student's request and is relatively self-service. However, to utilize this option moving forward, all of our students will need to create a free Parchment account. While the account is free, there is a charge if the request is for an official transcript and is paid by the student at the time of ordering.
Parchment uses the highest security standards and the service complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This service is available from approximately 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pacific Time.
As it gets closer to the start of school, each student will receive an invitation to register for Parchment. Check out the image to see an example email from Parchment.

Health Office
If you were told your student needs immunizations please turn into the Health Office before school starts. All medications must be checked into the Health Office. Students are not allowed to carry medication with them at school unless the use of the following medication is required: epi-pens, inhalers, and diabetic emergency medication. However, these items must FIRST be checked in and accompanied by the appropriate form at the Health Office.
Medications may only be brought to school by a parent/guardian or another adult over the age of 18. All medication will be in the properly labeled container from either the pharmacy for prescription medication or in the original container for over-the-counter medication. Make sure to check the expiration date. Narcotic pain medication will not be administered at school.
If a medication needs to be administered daily or is a prescription medication, a “Request for School Administration of Medication” form must be completed by both the parent/guardian and doctor (dated after 07/01/2022) before medication may be administered at school. This includes any over-the-counter medication that indicates it is not to be given to anyone under the age of 18, usually medication containing aspirin (example: Excedrin). Here is a LINK to the Health Services Form.
Please contact the Health Office with any questions. Thank you!
