5th Grade Guidance lesson
Mr. Walsh and Mrs. Randazzo (school counselors) will be presenting the puberty lesson to 5th grade starting next week. The lesson will be presented during academic extension (AE) . Teams will be separated by gender to make students feel more comfortable.
The resources that we will share with your child are included below for reference. We encourage you to preview the materials. On the day of each presentation, your child may come home with questions. This would be an excellent opportunity to engage in conversation with your child about the physical, social, and emotional changes they are experiencing or will experience soon. Email Mr. Walsh and Mrs. Randazzo if you have any questions about discussing these topics with your student. Your student will only view the video corresponding to their gender at school. We have attached all videos for reference.
We will include your child in the presentation unless you “opt-out” by emailing me your child’s full name and homeroom teacher.
Please review the following lesson.
Lesson one: Puberty – Adolescent Health and Development
5/17 Lifesavers
5/20 Erie Islanders
5/24 Anchors
