Easley Weekly Update
Everything You Need to Know For the Coming Week
February 23, 2025
A Note From Principal Hauser
I hope everyone had a good weekend and is ready to get back into the swing of things!
Remote Learning Days
Please be sure to return the completed student work packets by the end of the week to ensure students are counted present for the three remote learning days. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to administration or your child's classroom teacher.
Apex Fundraiser
Get ready to ignite the future! Our @apexleadershipNC Fundraiser kicks off on Monday, February 24th and this year's theme is "Apex Future"! Not only are we raising funds for our school, but our students will also be diving into leadership habits essential for becoming Future Leaders! Stay tuned for updates on how you can support our cause and empower the next generation of leaders!
Planning for Next Year
We are currently in the process of planning for next school year. In doing so, we need to have an accurate count of the number of students who are planning to return to Easley next school year (2025-2026). Accurate student numbers will ensure that we do not lose teaching staff and instructional positions. Thus, your participation in this brief survey is very important! We have also included a section for you to provide any information you think we need to know about your child when making class placements for next year. Please do not make requests for specific teachers. The only exception is if an older child had a teacher and you would like us to consider placing the sibling with the same teacher, or not. We do our bests to honor sibling requests, but please know there is no guarantee as we have a very involved process for creating classroom rosters. Please complete this survey by Friday, March 7th. Thank you!
Positivity Project
This week’s Positivity Project strength is Love, which means you value close
relationships with others and being close to people. The character strength of Love is about
the special feelings we have for our family, friends, and teammates. It's not just about
romantic love; it includes the love between family members and the caring we share with
others. Love is when both people care about each other. This doesn't include having a crush
on someone or liking a celebrity.
A Message From Your PTA
Please take a few minutes to read our quarterly newsletter if you haven't already.
We are very proud of what we've been able to accomplish as a community this year and are excited about what's to come. The newsletter also has a Q&A from Principal Hauser about our upcoming fundraiser, Apex Remix. Dr. Hauser explains why we partner with this local company and how the money raised is spent.
Yearbooks for Sale!
The 2024-2025 Yearbook is for sale for $20 on Easley's OSP until 4/18. After 4/18 we will sell any extra yearbooks for $25 until they run out. Reserve your copy today!
