Coloma Junior High
Family Newsletter for the Week of 5/6/24
The Great Hatch!
Did you see? We have baby chicks! The eggs that we have been incubating began hatching this week! The students were so excited to watch the process. Many students and families were kind enough to help out our chicks in a variety of ways. You can still see some of our chicks on the live video feed below.
NWEA Testing
We will be completing our final NWEA testing this week. Please make sure that your child arrives on time with their Chromebook Charged! It is important for your child to show us what they know as we continue to plan for their next academic year.
It's Teacher Appreciation Week
Did you know that this week is Teacher Appreciation Week? We are doing many different things to acknowledge our teachers here at Coloma Community Schools, but we know that they enjoy hearing from you as well. Think about taking time to reach out to your child's teachers with a thank you this week.
Looking for Peer Mentors
We are looking for our current 7th grade students that are interested in being Peer Mentors for our incoming 6th graders for the 2024-25 School year. Peer Mentors will help with upcoming tours and giving advice to our current 5th graders. In the fall they will help our 6th graders become acclimated to the building and show them the Junior High way.
If your 7th grader is interested, please have them complete the form that has been e-mailed to them.
3rd Annual Michigan Girls Future Flight Challenge Prepares to Launch
