Baseball
The Methacton baseball program had a great fall season and a productive January and February winter off-season at the All Sports Center in Trappe. The hard work leading up to the season showed throughout this first week of tryouts. Given the number of returning varsity players, along with an outstanding crop of younger players, we have great opportunities for competition all over the field.
Our seniors have been doing a great job of leading this group by doing the right things towards earning success. The 2024 team is very much looking forward to the challenge of proving to ourselves and to our opponents that we can compete at a high level in one of the toughest baseball conferences in the state of Pennsylvania. We look forward to getting to work on building off of the learning experiences from 2023.
A shout out to our players and coaching staff for all of the volunteer time that they have put in since the end of last season. It will pay off this Spring!
GO WARRIORS!

Boys Lacrosse
Coach Comments - I am very optimistic for this upcoming season now that we as a team and as a staff have had a full year of offseason to develop a culture of hard work and preparation. While our record last year did not reflect much success, there were many games that the boys fought hard, and it could have gone either way. This year with a strong leadership core in our senior group and returning stars in our underclassmen we look to make a run into the PAC and District playoffs.
2024 Captains - Cole Kleger, Wyatt Stemlar, Levi Borkowski, Michael Maro
Returners - This year we are returning 16 seniors with some notable starters being seniors Cole Kleger, Wyatt Stemlar, Levi Borkowski, Max Little, Junior Lukas Regar, and sophomore Michael Maro
Newcomers - In addition, we are welcoming a large class of freshmen players into our program allowing us to grow towards the future and provide depth at the JV level.
Upcoming Events:
Tuesday 3/12 - Scrimmage vs. Unionville (HOME)
Wednesday 3/13 - Scrimmage vs. Plymouth Whitemarsh (AWAY)
Girls Lacrosse
Girl's Lacrosse had a successful first week of the season. Tryouts resulted in all girls making it on JV or Varsity with no cuts to the team!
Practices focused on agility, speed, endurance, stick skills, and teamwork to help the girls prepare for their scrimmage vs. Pennridge this Wednesday at 3:45 in the stadium. Friday will be the first game of the season at Upper Dublin HS at 4:15. Everyone's looking forward to a great second week (and the team dinner on Thursday evening)!
Upcoming Events:
Wednesday 3/13 - Scrimmage vs. Pennridge (HOME)

Two freshman Kaitlin Pettine and Sadie Fitch show great potential and may earn varsity playing time.
The 2023 team had a very successful season. They qualified for district playoffs and won their opening round game.
The 2024 team is looking to go even further this season!

Boys Tennis
The outlook for the boys tennis team looks promising and everyone is pumped to keep our momentum going that we had last season. We have only lost 3 of our 11 varsity players from last spring so with the depth of the returning players we are hopeful to regain our PAC Championship title and make a name for ourselves in the districts.
Returning players to keep an eye out for are our number one player junior Dylan Wen who won the singles and doubles PAC title last season. Also senior Akash Suresh who won the doubles title with Dylan. Additional returning varsity players include Arnav Tiwari, Kameron N’Goran, Karun Jayaram, Gavin Jacobs and Nidish Chintala.
We are continuing challenge matches this upcoming week and will make our final line up for the season and prep for our opening matches the following week.

Tuesday 3/26 - Meet vs. Norristown (HOME)
Girls Track & Field
The 2024 Girls Track & Field team is gearing up for a great season! Our student-athletes came ready to practice hard this first week and they are eager for our 1st meet. We have nearly 80 girls on our roster this season, so will have a wide variety of talent and abilities that we are ready to let shine on the track.
The girls did not let the rainy weather slow them down this week. On Tuesday & Wednesday, we had to take our practice inside. The girls adjusted wonderfully and consistently worked hard in the workouts and drills. On Thursday & Friday, we were back outside, and the girls were able to practice their skills in their desired events.
The Girls Track & Field team elected their captains for the season on Friday. Our team will be led by Summer Mellow, Kenslee O'Donnell, Kate Thomas, and Molly Thomas.
Coach Comments: This season we have a great coaching staff that has years of experience. We also have numerous returners! I am very optimistic about our upcoming season; we have an abundance of abilities and many athletes with strong leadership skills. I am hoping to build a strong & cohesive team of student-athletes to make a run in the post-season playoffs.
