Thank You for a Great Year!
π βThank you all for a great year in sixth grade. It's been a joy to watch these students grow throughout the year. This group is full of character and tremendous potential. We look forward to seeing them in the halls next year and hearing about the great things they are doing.
βοΈ We hope you all have a wonderful summer!
𧑠Sincerely,
The Sixth Grade Teaching Team
Language Arts
Students will be closing up their 6th grade time capsules on Monday. These will be opened in 2030 when they are seniors. Students have written a letter to themselves, completed a memory form, and some have included a letter from a family member. Some have also included pictures and trinkets as well. If there are any items that your child would still like to add, please send them in by Monday!
𧻠We are still taking paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls to use for time capsules. Please send these in if you have any extras!
π Homework for Parents: Time Capsule Letter from Parent
Write your child a letter. This assignment is pretty open ended. It can be handwritten or typed, long or short. Put it in an envelope so that your child canβt see it until they open it their senior year. Please send this in by Monday if your child would like it to be included in their time capsule!
Math
π In math on Monday we will have a Number Hive tournament! Ask your student if they want to play against you, or show you how to play!
βοΈ Math students may continue to work in IXL over the summer! Their accounts should let them work at their level in the diagnostic area, or they can choose to review 6th grade material or move on to 7th! It's been a pleasure working with these students this year! They are very creative and like to have fun!
