Jeffries Journal
November 2024
From the Principal
Happy November!
Can you believe it's already November? This school year is flying by. When November hits, I can't help but think of all the things I am grateful for. I feel so grateful to spend each day with each of our students. Additionally, I am grateful for my partnership with our families. It is certainly a blessing to lead a building where we have such wonderful students and families. I hope you will take time this month to think about all the things you are grateful for.
Sincerely,
Dr. Glenn

ACTION REQUESTED: Title VI Education Formula Grant Program
“Springfield Public Schools receives the Title VI Indian Education Formula Grant Program, which is used to offer additional educational services for eligible Native American and Alaskan Native students. We have used the grant to provide tutoring, college prep materials, resources to support cultural awareness, and additional counseling support to students.
If you feel your child or children are eligible for this grant (have tribal membership themselves, or have a parent/grandparent with tribal membership), please complete this Title VI application form and return it to the school office. If you would like a paper copy of the form, they are also available in the school office.”
November Attendance Challenge & Update
Our October Pumpkin Attendance Challenge is over and the winners were Mrs. Lollis and Mr. Bowle's classes! They earned an extra recess for having the most days with 95% attendance. This month we are doing a Turkey Challenge. Each class will add a feather to their teacher's turkey when they have 95% attendance or higher. It is so important for students to be in school every day to grow their brains. We can't wait to see who wins this month!
