Thank you for the Staff Appreciation
We're thrilled to reflect on the amazing Staff Appreciation Week we just had! We want to extend an enormous thank you to all the families who generously shared messages of appreciation, delightful treats, and thoughtful gifts. Your contributions truly made our Braemar staff feel deeply valued and recognized for their tireless efforts in crafting a nurturing, safe, and intellectually stimulating environment for learning each day.
Braemar’s 2024 - 2025 School Calendar
We have prepared Braemar’s School Calendar for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Our school based Professional Development Days will be Friday, November 1, 2024, and Friday, May 16, 2025. The District Collaboration Days and Student Conference schedules will be added to the digital calendar; both have 2 pm dismissals for students.
Our bell schedule for 2024 - 2025 will remain the same as this year, with our first bell at 8:50 am, with dismissal continuing to be at 3:00 pm.
Bike to School Week
Braemar is celebrating Bike to School Week this year from June 3rd to June 9th! We’re encouraging students and families to use active transportation for their trips to school all week - walking, biking, scootering, skateboarding, and using mobility aids all help reduce congestion in our school neighbourhood and help students arrive at school energized and ready to learn.
We are also hosting a bike parade around the field on Friday, June 9th that will start at 8:30, and we hope that students can bring bikes and, if possible, decorate them before hand.
We will have the overflow bike parking along the fence to the parking lot. Please ensure your child has a helmet and a lock they know how to use. Scooters can also be locked along the fence. Unfortunately, we do not have parking in the school for bikes or scooters.

Battle of the Books Club
Congratulations to Quorra, Esther, Charlotte, Mette and Rowan who represented Braemar at the North Vancouver Battle of the Books Challenge held at the ESC on April 29th. These students dedicated themselves to reading the twelve Red Cedar Book Awards nominated novels for 2023/24 between January and April, gearing up for the quiz showdown against twelve other schools. Our team made it to the finals and had lots of fun. Way to go, team Braemar!
