Three Cheers for the Red, White, & Blue

Only Together, We Are TJES!
Hello Patriots!
Looking at the week ahead, Tuesday we will have our 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade SOL Math Simulations and on Friday, 3rd Grade will take a trip to the high school for the Barter Theatre. Next week brings Camp Read-A-Lot on Wednesday, March 5th.
With snow causing interruptions in our school schedule and an active flu season impacting many of our Patriots, regular attendance is now more important than ever. This is a time of year where students are making the last big push towards progress for this year so please make every effort to have your Patriots on time and in school each day to give them the best chance at success.
As you heard from Mr. Straley last week, Monday, March 17th, is now a regular school day.
I hope we see everyone for 5 full days this week!
Announcement!
In the book The Wild Robot, we learn more about Roz, the robot. The otters were very afraid of Roz when she first spoke to them. How would you feel if a robot started talking to you?
The Title I & Title III Family Movie Night is coming soon! Please join us for this free event on Tuesday, April 8th, or Wednesday, April 9th, to watch The Wild Robot with your family! The annual event includes a snack and family fun and will be held at the Goochland Drive-In. In past years, we served pizza, but this year, we wanted to go all in on our drive-in theme with a $5 voucher for snacks at the Goochland Snack Shack! Please arrive early to avoid concession lines and gates will open at 5:30 PM each evening. We can’t wait to see you there! Reserve your movie ticket by visiting https://bit.ly/LCPSFamilyMovieNight
