Congratulations to our Students of the Month, recognized for their outstanding qualities!
For the month of October, we proudly honored Avery Dowty (whom we caught up with because we didn't get her photo last month! )
For November, we’re celebrating Charlotte Burmeister and Grae Shikowsky (pictured), along with Linnea Yount and Claire Zika, who were unable to join us for a photo this time—but we’ll catch up with them next week!

Conflict and Bullying
Please talk to a trusted adult if you or a friend are struggling with conflict, bullying. We have attached some resources below as a guide. When we bring a community together, conflicts inevitably arise. If the conflict persists into bullying or harassment it is imperative that students and adults work together to make it stop. At FHS we take this seriously and will thoughtfully and carefully investigate each incidence, help resolve conflict, and address bullying. Everyone deserves to feel safe at school!

Spotlight on our Amazing FHS Staff!
Mrs. Thompson
Hello! My name is Heidi Thompson, and this is my 17th year of teaching Special Education and my 13th year at FHS. I received my Special Education Teaching Degree from Bemidji State University and Moorhead State University.
I love being able to help others live a more independent and fulfilling life. Working with students with all abilities helps me to become a more patient, compassionate and understanding person. I have built close relationships with my students and their families. I love to see how far they have come and what they can do.
My husband Scott and I have been married for 16 years. We have three children: Kane 17, Tenley 14, and Asher 11. We enjoy all things outdoors and, in the summer, we love spending time at our cabin on the lake. We enjoy being with our families and watching our children’s sports events. When I am not at school, you can usually find me at the rink, football field or softball field.
