Music Concert Notes: Concert will start around 1:30/1:35PM and end around 2:10PM.
- Please be aware that seating is limited. We will do our best to provide as many bleachers and seats as possible. If you require handicapped seating, please email fitzgeke@unit5.org by December 16, 2024.
- Additionally, since we will be in class and practicing before the concert, we can only open the doors at 1:10 PM. Please inform your family members who may not receive this newsletter.
- If you wish to take your student home after the event, you will need to check out with each teacher, ideally you let your teacher know via email prior to the event. This way we are more organized for you.
- We will provide more information following the concert. For those unable to attend the event, the concert will be broadcast on our PTC Facebook page.
Talking Points Communication Tool
Unit 5 is excited to announce the introduction of a new communication tool designed to keep families informed and engaged. This tool will allow you to receive important updates directly through both text messages and emails from your child's school or teacher. We encourage you to remain opted in to this service, as it will ensure that you never miss out on essential information regarding school events, announcements, and other important notices. Your participation is key to staying connected with our school community!
The Winter Season
Is your child ready to embrace the chilly weather? 🧣❄️ It's essential that they bundle up in warm layers before heading out! We allow outdoor recess when the temperature reaches 20°F or higher, so let's make sure our little ones stay cozy and comfortable while they enjoy their playtime outside.
As the cold and flu season approaches, it's a great opportunity to remind your child about the importance of good hygiene. Encourage them to wash their hands frequently, especially after playing or using shared spaces. Additionally, remind them to cover their coughs and sneezes with a tissue to keep themselves and their friends healthy. Together, we can help our kids stay safe and well this season!
PBIS December: Attitude
What is PBIS? PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. This is a program designed to better engage our learners and minimize distractions throughout the school day.
Once of the important aspects of this program is having consistent expectations throughout the building.
The Carlock Student Council defined Excellence as: Trying your best in everything that you do, even when things might be new or hard.
