Training Opportunities

Funding Opportunities for Preschool, TK & STEM Teachers
- Are you interested in teaching preschool , TK or Kindergarten? MCOE has grant funds available to support individuals pursuing a teaching credential or working on units towards the TK standards. Earn $1,000.00 per nine course units. The funding is available for the next three years and there are opportunities locally and remotely to earn credits. Contact Tammy Nguyen or Ana Danielson for more information.
- The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) offers monthly mini grants to teachers and school staff to enhance science learning opportunities. Check out their resources and apply for some funding at https://orise.orau.gov/resources/k12/competitions-for-educators.html
Helping Students Recognize That Vaping Harms Their Mental Health
If you know of students that need support to quit vaping or smoking, please refer them to a counselor or Ana Danielson at MCOE. There are also a number of anonymous text-based help programs, including This is Quitting, Kick it California, and SmokeFree.
