We’re officially kicking off the last week of school! Can you believe it? It’s been an amazing year, and we’re almost at the finish line. Here’s what you need to know as we wrap up:

📘 Yearbooks: If you didn’t preorder a yearbook, no worries! They will go on sale Monday for $25 CASH ONLY. Supplies are limited. Make sure to grab one and relive all the awesome memories we’ve made this year.

📅 Last Day of School: May 24. School will end 3 hours early on the last day, so plan accordingly!

Today's leadership social included students who were nominated by their teachers and peers for showing respect. We had the honor of welcoming Brett Kisker, the Director of Education for Make 48, who shared some incredible insights with us.

It's time to reunite with your misplaced treasures before they bid adieu forever. If these lost lovelies aren't claimed by May 24th, they're off to find new homes.

Did you know that you can order your child's 2024-25 school supplies to be delivered directly to school in time for Meet the Teacher Night in August? Pathfinder Elementary is partnering with School Toolbox for the 2024-25 school year to make ordering school supplies that match your teacher's selected list as easy as 1-2-3!

• Select your child's new grade level for the 2024-25 school year

Online re-enrollment for returning students for the upcoming school year is now available! You will use your PowerSchool Parent Portal to access the Registration. Gather your proof of residency documentation before completing.

Steps to Complete Re-Enrollment, from the Parent Portal:

1. Select the student you wish to register along the top.
2. Select the Returning Student Registration 2024-25 Icon on the left side.
3. Agree to the terms and conditions.
4. Enter the student's date of birth.
5. Complete forms.

Friday, May 24, 2024 will be our last day of school, and will be a 3-hour early dismissal.

Children who have turned five years of age before August 1, 2024, are eligible for kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year. Families are encouraged to view the Attendance area boundary map linked here, or call the District office at 816-858-5420 for confirmation of attendance area.

The PCR-3 Treasure Chest is also providing groceries to assist families who qualify for Free or Reduced Meal Plans. Qualifying families will receive a weekly form via email to fill out or call 816-858-7001 weekly, so we can appropriately plan for resources. Once approved, families can receive additional food on Wednesdays from 4-6pm at the Treasure Chest site (in the north parking lot of PCHS).

• May 17- Yearbooks go home
• May 24- Last Day of School. 3 Hour Early Release

With our inclement weather days in January, and no school on February 14 to celebrate the Chiefs Super Bowl parade, our make up day plans to date are as follows:

• January 9 Inclement Weather Day - Will be made up on Thursday, May 23
• January 10 Inclement Weather Day - Will be made up on Friday, May 24
• January 16, 19, and 23 Virtual Learning Days - Will not need to be made up
• February 14 No School Day - Because our attendance hours exceed the necessary hours set forth by the state, the Board has approved not making this day up

The Platte County Health Department distributes food every 2nd Thursday of the month from 1-2:30 pm.

A district communication medium is our School Messenger system that we use for phone calls and text notifications. As with any school district, PCR-3 must often contact hundreds of parents quickly for sudden changes in schedules due to emergencies, cancellation, or just important announcements.

If you have provided a cell phone number, parents can opt in to receive text alerts and messages. Simply text "YES" to 67587 (standard text messaging fees apply). New families should have received an opt-in text this week.
