April Meeting Minutes

Olympic Day May 19 Noon Dismissal

Olympic Day is a day all students look forward to. Lots of fun is had and students may get wet with some of the sporting events. Students have free dress but are encouraged to wear their country's colors (ask your teacher for your class' country). Please wear shoes - no sandals, crocs or the like are permitted. "Free Dress" dress code can be found in the Parent/Student Handbook on pages 39-40 if you have any questions about length of shorts, tops, etc. You may also want to send a towel and sunscreen with your child - the 19th is looking to be about 90' and sunny.

Olympic Day is also a Noon Dismissal Day. Daycare is provided after school

NO DAYCARE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

There will be no daycare provided on the last day of school. All students can be picked up at their classrooms following Mass at approximately 10:00 AM

CYO Cross Country and Girls Basketball

Sign ups are now being accepted for the 23-24 Cross Country and Girls Basketball. Registration forms can be found online or in the school office. Practices will begin on August 1st.

Roadrunner Round Up August 2nd 4PM - 7PM

Roadrunner Round Up is on Wednesday, August 2nd will be a day to bring in supplies, meet your teachers and meet up with families and friends you haven't seen all summer. We will have food trucks and a DJ to entertain between class meetings. Sign up for events, learn about PTG, School Events, SCRIP and much more.

4:30-5:00 - First Round Parent Meeting in Room 8. We will discuss upcoming events, volunteer needs, how to use SCRIP to your advantage and much more.

5:00-5:30 - First Round of Classroom Meetings. Meet your teacher, bring your supplies, see the classroom and updates on student expectations. Middle School (6-8) will meet in the cafeteria.

5:30-6:00 - Second Round of Classroom Meetings.

6:00-6:30 - Second Round Parent Meeting in Room 8.

Volunteering for the 23-24 School year?

Summer is the perfect time to get your fingerprinting done and completing Veritas Safe Environment in order to be able to volunteer at school events, in the classroom, art docent, CYO, and at the harvest festival. Stop in during office hours and we can get you more information,

Room Moms (Dads) Needed for 23-24

Room Parents are needed for the upcoming school year. It can be a fun way to stay involved with your student throughout the year as well as building community in your class and with the other classes at St. Anthony's. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please contact ptg@sasmanteca.org. We would love to fill these position before the end of this school year.

WHAT IS A “ROOM PARENT”? Room Parents are the official liaisons between teachers and families. As a Room Parent, you may be asked to recruit other parents to chaperone field trips, help plan class events and exposition nights, or do a bit of fundraising to purchase class supplies or teacher gifts. Many classes opt to have two Room Parents to help share the work. Some teachers may want a lot of help (or very little); asking your teachers or talking to previous Room Parents are good ways to learn what’s expected of you as a Room Parent.

WHAT WOULD MY RESPONSIBILITIES BE? Different teachers have different needs — and your responsibilities may vary from grade to grade. But all Room Parents share some things in common: a desire to pitch in, great organizational and communication skills, and the time, energy, and enthusiasm for helping out in a hands-on way.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As a Room Parent, you don’t have to do it all! Know that many classes have two Room Parents. Other parents in the class are also eager to help.

St. Mary's Summer Camps

"Summer Camp at Saint Mary's is going to be packed full of creative fun! Join us for one week or all four weeks, and it's your choice! Note: The curriculum for each week will vary. Camp is open to Kindergarten to 8th grade and will run from June 5 - June 30. Summer Camps (week-long sessions) are $245 per camp and can be paid by debit or credit card.

Also, don't forget to check out our variety of Athletic Summer Programs happening over summer time. These camps are a great opportunity to give your student a head start in their sport, and work with some of our very talented coaches."

Harvest Festival Sept. 15-17

Did you know you can earn school volunteer hours at the Harvest Festival? Think about getting involved in your parish and school by joining us. We will need assistance with set up and clean up, donations for our silent and live auctions, as well as chair positions for various booths. For more information on how you can get involved, contact harvestfestival@st-anthonys.org

Summer Office Hours

School Summer Office Hours will be 9:00 AM to Noon. The School Office will be closed from July 3rd through July 7th.

Scrip

Summer SCRIP Hours: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Daily

Please email scrip at scrip@sasmanteca.org to place your scrip order or call the school office. Remember to include a contact number. Any items we do not have in stock will automatically be put on backorder unless otherwise stated by you.

Please do not order physical cards through RaiseRight. If you would like physical cards please obtain them from our scrip office.

The online RaiseRight program is an excellent way to earn your Scrip profit on the go! ALL physical cards must be ordered through our Scrip office.

TDAP for incoming 7th grade students 23-24 School Year

All incoming 7th grade students MUST have their TDAP shots prior to the first day of school. Please plan your summers with this in mind. Once completed please email or bring shot records to the front office so we can update your file. NO 7th grade students will be permitted to start the 23-24 school year without their TDAP.
