NO SCHOOL- Wednesday, January 29, 2025
SPOTLIGHT: Celebrating our Music Program
We are excited to see our students performing this month! Our annual Winter Chorus Concert is scheduled for Thursday, January 23. Our Winter Instrumental Music performance is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28. Most of our students will have the opportunity to hear our fourth and fifth grade students perform during the school day. Parents are invited to attend the evening performances.
Inclement Weather Reminder- Extreme Cold
As we continue to endure extremely cold temperatures, it is important that we keep our students safe and healthy. School staff will continue to be outside to monitor safety conditions and address ice build-up on sidewalks as quickly as possible. We ask parents to monitor the time that your children spend outdoors. As previously indicated, Beall staff is not available to monitor student arrival until 8:40 am (10:40 am when there is an announced 2-hour delayed opening). Students should not be arriving to school prior to this time. We encourage walkers and car riders to arrive closer to 8:45 am (or anytime before 9:00 am) to ensure that the main entrance is open and we can welcome them directly into the building. Please continue to monitor emails, news outlets, and social media for MCPS announcements regarding delayed openings and school cancelation.
Beall Welcomes Author Visits
Beall ES, in conjunction Politics & Prose Bookstore, are delighted that our classes will participate in a school visit with children's author Danielle Joseph on Tuesday, February 4th at 9:10 am for grades K-2. In addition, middle grade author Leslie Vedder will be visiting Beall on Tuesday, February 11th at 2:00 pm for grades 3-5. There is an opportunity to pre-order signed copies of the authors' books before their visits in February. Please click this link to view instructions on how to pre-order Ms. Joseph's book, The Mitzvah Fairy and this link to view instructions on how to pre-order Ms. Vedder's book, The Labyrinth of Souls.
