Principal's Message
👋 Dear Booth Hill Families,
I am delighted to share some highlights from this past week at BHS! We celebrated Kindness Week with a spirited ROARS Kindness BINGO, where students from different grade levels partnered together. It was heartwarming to see our older students lending a helping hand to their younger peers, demonstrating the true spirit of kindness and community. Thank you in large part to our Student Council for leading the fun and to Mrs. Magner for the design and organization of the event!
In addition, our ongoing Kids Heart Challenge in PE has been a hit, encouraging our students to stay active and work together as a team. We are excited about the progress they are making and the healthy habits they are developing.
With warmer weather on the horizon, we look forward to even more opportunities for outdoor activities. Thank you for your continued support and for sharing in our commitment to fostering a caring and energetic school community. We're looking forward to next weekend's Pancake Palooza!
Have a wonderful week ahead!
Warm regards,
Kevin Chase
Spring Conferences
Thursday, March 13th will be an early release day, 1:00pm, for students to accommodate for elementary parent/teacher conferences. All required conferences will occur on this day/evening. Not all students are in need of a conference at this time. Your child’s teacher will contact you next week if your child is in need of a conference and you can then sign up online HERE. You can reach out to your child’s teacher should you have any concerns and do not receive a conference request. Please schedule a conference only if your have received a request from your child's teacher or you have already communicated with your child's teacher and agreed to a conference.

The annual Barnum Festival dates back to 1948 to help support local businesses and honor P.T. Barnum—a world-renowned showman and city leader. The Barnum Festival spans several weeks in an effort to build community spirit, enrich the lives of Bridgeport residents, and give back, culminating in a weekend-long Barnum Palooza that hosts parades, concerts, fireworks, and other family-friendly events. One of the popular events for the children is the Tom Thumb and Lavinia Warren contest.

School Attendance
As a school community, we continually strive to promote regular attendance at Booth Hill. We welcome and appreciate open communication between school and home; therefore, please reach out if you need assistance with getting your child to school each day and in a timely fashion. Parent and school partnerships enable us to best support our students to ensure success at school.
"Chronically absent is defined as "a child who accumulated a total number of absences at any time during the school year that is equal to or greater than ten percent (10%) of the total number of days that such student has been enrolled at the school during the school year."
