Above is the schedule for Pre-UIL.

What: A practice UIL event for UIL choirs. This concert will be a major grade.

When: Thursday, March 27th

Where: Wylie HS Auditorium

Who: 2nd, 3rd, 5th Period choirs are performing. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Any parent attending a concert that occurs prior to the end of the school day MUST complete the Wylie ISD Background Check form at least 24 hours in advance.

Why: We have hired judges to evaluate our choirs so that we have critiques to work on before real UIL.

Attire: full concert uniform

Just like a team sport, every voice is important in a choir, so if you are anticipating a conflict with this event, please talk to your coach/sponsor sooner rather than later to avoid issues. We do our best to accommodate the numerous activities of all our choir students whenever possible, and so we appreciate your commitment to prioritizing this event.

Each group is dismissed after the conclusion of the sightreading portion (A Cappella members are not dismissed until they have finished mixed choir sightreading).

Since all of our choirs have performance events coming up, please check your uniform and make sure you have all the parts, and that all the parts fit. See the graphic above to see which parts you need. Women should check the length of their dress and make sure it touches the top of their feet. Men should check their pant length and make sure the hem is not above their ankle. High school is a time of growth and change, and we want you to be comfortable and look your best!

If you have a uniform issue, please let us know BEFORE we leave for spring break.

On Tuesday, April 8th our 1st and 7th period choir will be performing on our Mock UIL performance during the school day. This is a required performance and is being taken as a major grade. Students must bring their concert attire to school this day to change into. Afterwards, students of both classes are invited to join us at Strike and Reel for bowling, pizza, and games! Strike and Reel is not required, though a $22 payment must be made by March 25th to attend. We hope to see all our students there!
