2022 4-H Youth Leadership Conference (YLC)

Register for the 2022 4-H Youth Leadership Conference (YLC)

High School students (ages 14-18)! We are inviting you to join us for the Youth Leadership Conference, June 24026, 2021, at the Nebraska State 4-H Camp in Halsey, NE. Learn more and register at 4h.unl.edu/leadership-conference by June 1st to claim your spot in this amazing experience. The cost for YLC will be $200. We’ll be taking advantage of some traditional camp activities while integrating leadership workshops, speakers, and an overall topic of mental wellness in leadership to bring together and develop the leaders of Nebraska 4-H!

ONLINE HORTICULTURE CONTEST JUNE 3-20, 2022

Do you know what it takes to pick the best fruit and vegetables out at the grocery store? Or do you know what judges are looking for when they judge your plants at the county fair? Have you ever wondered, what plant is that!?! We are excited to offer the opportunity to learn these and other important horticulture skills through the Online Horticulture Contest. YQCA training is being paid for by the Cass County 4-H Council! Thank you 4-H Council!

Louisville Trap Team News

At the 2022 Cornhusker State School Shoot, the team was well represented and awarded for their efforts. Numerous shooters in both the junior and senior divisions set personal records for the season at the state shoot.

The Gold Squad members were Caden Smart, Brandon Williams, Gage Scholting, Alex Michalski, and Carson Downs. They were the Senior High Overall 4H Team Champion. They broke 593 out of 750 rocks in the two day event. There were 56 4h teams competing. They were 2nd out of the entire 229 team field (4H and High School combined). The Gold Squad also won the trophy for 2nd place for Senior Handicap 4H Team with 252 out of 375.

The White Squad members were Sierra Starr, Gabriel Kerlik, Landon Kozeny, Max Downs, and Charlie Shera. They won the trophy for 3rd place for Senior Handicap 4H Team. They were 238 out of 375 rocks.

Carson Downs was awarded 5th place for Senior High Overall Individual with a 128 out of 150. Carson also finished 2nd for Senior Handicap 24/25 Yard Line with a 56 out of 75.
