Principal Message
Mrs. Rumple's December Message
Happy Holidays from our team here at Justice to our Justice Families! As we wrap up the first semester, we paused for a few moments in the school to revisit our expectations in the building and refocus on our purpose for school. We want to ensure all students are coming to school each day ready to learn. We are GIANTS, and we are working hard to prepare our students to make a GIANT impact on the world around them. Students are currently working toward a Grinchmas party. Students are eligible to attend if they are not late for class and do not have a behavioral referral. These students are NOT grinches because they show up each day ready to learn!
Justice hosted the Grant County DART DATA Quiz Bowl on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Students independently studied the manual teaching them about the harmful effects of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco abuse. The following Justice students were our school champions: Zaida Davis, Kaytee Bailey, Jaxon Hardwick, and Ariele Wright.
Our next round of ILEARN checkpoints is December 9-13 during our Math and Reading blocks. Please make sure your child is in school (if healthy) during their testing time. We also ask you to join us in encouraging students to try their best. Our students work hard in the classroom, and this is their time to show what they know!
Student council is sponsoring a dress up week for the last week of school. We encourage all students to participate in the dress up days. Students must remain in dress code (an exception is for pajama pants on the last day) while participating in the fun.
Monday 12/16: Candy Cane (Stripes) Vs. Gingerbread (Dots)
Tuesday 12/17: Hats Vs. Crazy Hair
Wednesday 12/18: Grinch (green) Vs. Santa (red)
Thursday 12/19: Thread Up (dressy) Vs. Thread Down (casual)
Friday 12/20: Pajama Day
I thank you for your continued support and partnership in the education of all of our students. This is our time to BEE GIANTS, and we continue to dedicate our time and energy to this task. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Attendance Matters
- Set a regular bedtime and morning routine.
- Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.
- Keep your child healthy and make sure your child has the required shots.
- Develop backup plans for getting to school if something comes up. Call on a family member, a neighbor, or another parent.
- Try to schedule non-urgent related medical appointments and extended trips when school isn’t in session.
- If your child seems anxious about going to school, talk to teachers, the home-school coordinator and other parents for advice on how to make your child feel comfortable and excited about learning.
- If you are concerned that your child may have a contagious illness, call your school or health care provider for advice.
- If your child must stay home due to illness, ask the teacher for resources and ideas to continue learning at home.
Starting in January, we will begin a school wide attendance based competition between the homerooms!

Library News with Mrs. Persinger
Our students never cease to amaze me! It was such a joy to walk into school and see two of our students reading a book from our Little Free Library. And then there was the student who shared her two bookmarks with me—one marking her current spot in the book, and the other representing her reading goal for the day. At Justice, we have so many incredible reading opportunities available. Be sure your family is taking full advantage of them!

Sports Round Up by Coach Alsup
Let's Work Together
The winter sports season is officially underway, and our student-athletes are putting in the hard work to prepare for the exciting season ahead. Both the boys' and girls' basketball teams are gearing up for their December season openers. The boys will start strong with a Purple/White scrimmage on December 7th, followed by their first official game on December 12th against Maple Crest in Kokomo. They will then return home to face Eastern on December 16th for their home opener.
The girls' team will kick off their season at home on December 17th, taking on Blackford.
For students who were not selected for the school basketball teams but still wish to improve their skills, a newly formed youth league will provide the perfect opportunity. Games will be held at the Boys Club, and further details will be shared before Christmas Break.
Additionally, there are upcoming opportunities to join the wrestling and swim teams. Male and female students interested in participating should keep an eye on announcements before school and during lunchtime.
As leadership expert and motivational speaker Zig Ziglar once said, “Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to be grateful for.” Let’s strive to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. We are truly fortunate in many ways, and we extend our thanks to the adults who support and invest in our student-athletes.
Life is a team activity,
