As a Title 1 School, we survey our parents each year about your child's experience at our school. Parent feedback is used to improve systems, meet student and family needs, and increase family engagement.

It's hard to believe we are already halfway through the 1st 6 weeks. Progress Reports will be posted to Skyward Family Access on Wednesday, September 6th for grades 2nd-5th. Please look at how your child is progressing and if you have any questions reach out to your child's teacher.

I have already met many of your kiddos, and will continue my library time with them next week. They are so fun!

In September, we are going to focus on the specific traits of Courage and Respect! As your child continues to learn the 7 Habits, learning about courage and respect will help reinforce Habit #1 - Be Proactive, and Habit #5 - Seek 1st to Understand, Then to Be Understood. We all need courage to be kind when it is hard, and to be respectful of others - even if we disagree! Any conversation you have with your student about these powerful words (Courage & Respect), will only help them to better transition each word’s meaning into your student’s actions!

Grandparents (or Special Adults) are invited to enjoy stories and snacks on Monday, September 11, 2023. One ticket will allow multiple attendees to sign in inside foyer. Anyone arriving without an event ticket will be asked to sign in at the office with their photo ID before joining the event in the Library.

Activity Times:

Pre-K - 11:45-12:35

Kinder - 1:25-2:15

1st Grade - 2:15-3:05

2nd Grade - 10:20-11:10

3rd Grade - 8:40-9:30

4th Grade - 9:30-10:20

5th Grade - 7:45-8:35

For those with multiple students you can attend each student's individual Activity time or you can select one time and we will get all of the students to you.

We request that students not be signed out at the end of the event and remain at school for an important day of learning. Thank you!

Again this year, Bertram Elementary, is partnering with Academy 4 to bring one-on-one leadership mentoring to our 4th graders. Mentors will be on campus one Friday a month and will focus on specific leadership traits with our students. Permission slips for 4th Grade students to participate are being sent home this week. Please sign and return as soon as possible.
