• Parking: Park in the North Eastern Lot (see photo).

• Entrance: Enter through the gate, show your student ID, pass through the weapon detectors and then into the eastern double doors of th VHS Aux Gym (see photo)

• Parent Drop off/Pick up: Please enter from the NE parking lot. (see photo).

• Staff will be on hand to direct and guide you.

• Student Drivers and Bus Riders: complete the waivers linked here: Student Driver Waiver and Bus Driver Permission Slip

• Please complete this Form ACT Retake/Make-up to help us plan for all testing needs.

Please NOTE: ALL students who need to make up the ACT and all who chose to retake must do so on Wednesday, 4/16, at VHS.

As stated in the student handbook, 90% attendance (10 or fewer absences per semester) is required in each assigned class. Credit appeal occurs after 10 absences. The attedance appeal process includes:

• Initial Review: The school attendance appeal committee will conduct a paper review of all attendance appeals.
• Notification: Families and students will receive email notifications regarding whether credit was awarded or denied.
• Final Appeal: If credit is denied, the parent/guardian and/or student may submit an appeal to the school principal. Specific instructions will be provided in the denial notification.

Please note- Our administration keeps documentation of Chronic Illness Paperwork (completed with support from Nurse Sherer) and extenuating circumstances that have resulted in excessive absences.

Help us support our teachers this year during teacher appreciation week. We are asking for donations so we can make teacher appreciation week extra special for our teachers. We are planning to provide a snack cart one day, a beverage cart one day, a caffeine cart one day, a sweet cart one day, and a special gift for all of our teachers. We have about 90 teachers at Canyon View and are in need of our communities support to make this happen. If able and willing please sign up to bring something to show support for our educators who are helping to grow and educate your student. We can't do it without you!

An Academy Ambassador is:

• A student currently enrolled in or planning to take a CTE Pathway or Arts Pathway.
• A proud representative of our school and its academies/pathways.
• A key connection between the school and our students, parents, community members, and business partners.
• Someone who shares and promotes the benefits of the Academies of the Southwest Valley across campus.
