Jamison Journal
December 2020
December 7th (Learning Mode Changes)
The office staff has contacted each family that has had a change in their child's learning mode. If you haven't received notification from the office and you have made a change in your child's learning mode, please feel free to reach out to me (mcroyle@cbsd.org) or head secretary, Lisa Bradley, at lbradley@cbsd.org, immediately.
- Each student in a current hybrid classroom should've received some level of communication from Jamison.
- Any student that requested a change in mode (traditional to virtual or virtual to traditional) should have also received communication.
- If your child is switching to a virtual classroom, your child’s new teacher will contact you with log-in information.
Staff members are currently planning for this transition. These changes will take place effective 12/7/20. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher, the office staff, or me.
As always, thank you for your support during these challenging times.
Respectfully,
Mr. Croyle

News from Home and School
Dear Jamison Community,
We are now approaching the time of year when many families naturally want to express season’s greetings and gratitude to our amazing teachers, staff and administration. Due to the pandemic and our inability to have homeroom parents, there have not been any voluntary collections to support the purchase of a gift given on behalf of the class.
For those who would like to send warm wishes to a member of the staff, we encourage you to send emails, make cards, and/or send in individual gifts.
Thank you,
Jamison HSA's Executive Board

Second Step Emotional Learning
Throughout the year, your child will be provided Home Links that go with several of the Second Step lessons. Home Links are simple, fun activities for you and your child to complete together. They are a great way for you to understand what your child is learning and for your child to show you what he or she knows. As a continued effort to provide families with Social Emotional Learning resources, Second Step offers parents and guardians the opportunity to access the Home Links and other resources online. In order to access these resources, parents and guardians of students in grades K-5 can go to the website, www.secondstep.org, create an account, and then enter the activation code in the link below for the grade level your child is enrolled in. For parents and guardians of sixth graders, please access the website, www.parenteenconnect.org. Thank you for supporting your child in learning the skills that lead to success in school and in life.
Please click on this link for the Family Activation Code.
Yearbook Updates
If you decided not to take part in Picture Day this year for whatever reason, the yearbook staff would like to make sure that your child(ren) are still included in the yearbook. Parents are asked to submit a "headshot" photo of your child. *This is only for students that did not take part in Picture Day*
If interested, please provide a waist-up, centered photo of the student, facing the camera with a simple, plain background. Color photo only. When submitting the photo, please make sure you include the student’s name and grade level in the comment section.
Please follow the link below to add your photos:
