AHS Performing Arts named as FINALISTS for OKC Broadway Kelli O'Hara Awards

Ada High School Performing Arts has been named as a finalists for the Outstanding Musical Performance and Outstanding Ensemble for the OKC Broadway Kelli O'Hara Awards. Elizabeth Jones was also selected as a finalists for Outstanding Actress for the performance. The winners will be announced on June 2, 2020.

Madison Crowder

Madison, an AHS sophomore, received 2nd place at the FCCLA State STAR Events for her event planning presentation about the AHS Career Tech Department's Cinderella Project. She will be advancing to the National STAR Events.

Lizzie Jones

Elizabeth "Lizzie", a sophomore at AHS played the lead in Cinderella. She has been selected as a finalist for Outstanding Actress. She is competing against young ladies from Classen SAS, Edmond North, Choctaw, Southmoore, Heritage Hall, Casady and Norman North. The winner will be announced June 2. Congratulations Lizzie and BEST OF LUCK!

Kara Keith

Kara is the recipient of the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarship for $2,500 from our local Chick-fil-A store. Kara has also received the ECU Academic Distinction Scholar Award in addition to a Music Scholarship totaling $28,000. Kara will be attending East Central University this fall.

  • AP Testing Begins May 11
  • Balfour set up in front of the high school May 12th from 11 - 2. Students can drive by and pick up cap and gown.
  • Honors and Awards: TBD
  • Tuesday, May 19, 2020: A Virtual Senior Celebration Video will be available on the District website, www.adacougars.net. All seniors will be highlighted on the video, and Commencement speaker, J.C. Watts, will address students.
  • Plans are being finalized for a commencement exercise to be held on the campus of Ada High School on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. The graduation ceremony will be designed in accordance with the CDC Guidelines applicable at that time. This event will provide the District the opportunity to present the 2020 graduates with a fitting graduation ceremony. More information will be provided as it becomes available

If you have an application on file and something changes in your family situation you can receive it, only IF you completed the application and it is on file. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF YOUR SOPHOMORE YEAR.
