Windermere Weekly Update

Thank you so much for another incredible year at Windermere. Having finished this 3rd school year at Windermere has me reflecting on all the good things we've done together and the things that I can still work on. I have loved every single one of your children this year, all 720 of them! I'm looking forward to August where I know they will continue to grow and we will do amazing things. I hope that each of you has a fantastic summer and as always, reach out if you need anything. Wednesday the 29th is the last day of school. Also, the 29th is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:00. Please make arrangements for your child(ren).

Our teachers have worked together to create slides for each grade level in reading and math. Over the summer these are activities you can do with your child to keep their skills fresh!

I sent an email last week, but if you're planning to not return to Windermere next year, can you please fill out this form. If you have any questions, let me know jennifer.macallister@pfisd.net.

You will no longer be able to enter the office without being buzzed in. The outside door to the building that has always been unlocked during the day will still be unlocked. When you enter the vestibule, you will turn to the window on your left. Push the button which will alert someone that you're there. Depending on your need(s) you'll either be asked to wait in the vestibule or you'll be buzzed into the office. This is a state and district mandated safety upgrade. I've heard several complaints about it. We apologize for the inconvenience, but ultimately it is designed to be a stop gap for anyone trying to enter the building that shouldn't.

For all awards ceremonies in the auditorium, please go to the Picadilly entrance, park back there and enter on that side (DOOR 10). You will sign in at a table and then go to the auditorium. You will not be able to enter the main part of the building after the ceremony.

For Pegasus Awards, you will sign in at the main office on the Grand Ave. entrance and go to Ms. Gallegos' room. You will need your ID.

For the 5th grade completion ceremony you will also go to the Grand Ave. entrance and sign in at a table. The ceremony will be in the gym on the Grand Ave. side.
