Health Office Notes:

Wow, we are in the last few weeks of the school year. It has been an honor and so much fun to care for all of our great BES Students this year! Here are a few reminders:

1. If your child has medication in the health office, including Inhalers, Epi Pens, daily medications please plan to have an adult pick those up on June 16th by 1pm. We are not able to store medications over the summer. If your child has medication here, you will be getting a specific note sent home next week as well.

2. Over the summer plan to get new MD orders for any medications your child will continue to need at school next year. The parent permission form also needs to be sent in. The completed forms can be emailed to me, or sent in hard copy.

3. Immunization waivers must also be renewed yearly. Link to Form.

4. Please send any updated physical and immunization forms over the summer to my email: resip@bourneps.org

5. If your child has any new diagnosis, or health issues over the summer be sure to let me know.

I look forward to working with your child again next year, and for those moving up to 3rd grade I wish them well in their new school. The nurse at BIS is Jess Abisla, and you can send her any updated information, physicals or medication orders for 3rd grade next year.

Physical Literacy–Move to Learn!!

Physical literacy is essential for elementary school students as it not only helps them develop fundamental motor skills like running, jumping, and throwing but also fosters a love for physical activity. Physical literacy enhances a child’s self-confidence and social interaction which helps to contribute to a well-rounded and confident individual. Physical literacy enhances students’ cognitive development, fostering improved concentration, problem-solving skills, and overall academic performance.
