A Note from Mrs. Colangelo
As we wrap up a wonderful first quarter, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your support and partnership. Together, we’ve made some fantastic memories and laid a strong foundation for the year ahead.
Looking forward, we have parent-teacher conferences the week of October 14th. Sign-up forms have been sent out by your child's teacher. These conferences are a vital opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher, discuss their progress, and set goals for continued growth & success. I encourage all our Bobcat families to sign up and make the most of this time.
We need your help ensuring the safety of our students during dismissal is a top priority. We kindly ask for your cooperation in maintaining a safe environment in our parking lot. Please remember that students must be escorted by an adult or guardian when crossing or walking in the parking lot. It is essential that all families use the designated crosswalk, and no student should be walking alone in the parking area. Additionally, students should not walk through the school parking lot or the community park parking lot unaccompanied. Please ensure they are safely escorted in both areas.
By working together, we can keep all of our children safe. Thank you for your attention and support.
Lastly, I urge the entire SF community to stay informed about the two ballot items related to DVUSD in the November election. Please take the time to review the DVUSD BOND and DVUSD OVERRIDE information at the bottom of the ballot. Your involvement has a direct impact on our school. For more information, you can visit the factual website at: https://www.dvusd.org/election.
Thank you again for being such an important part of our community!

Volleyball tryouts for both boys and girls will be the week of November 4th. SF is still in need of Volleyball coaches for both teams. More information regarding tryouts will be sent out once coaches have been hired.
If your 7th or 8th grade athlete is interested in trying out for the volleyball team, please create an account / login to www.registermyathlete.com (RMA) and complete the athletes paperwork (one item is a sports physical). Step by step instructions for navigating RMA can be found HERE. In order to be eligible to tryout for the team, student athletes must be cleared in RMA prior to the start of tryouts on November 4th.

Book Fair Success!
The fall book fair was a HUGE SUCCESS! Our goal of 1,500 books was exceeded by 183 books! Kids picked out some great books to dig into, perhaps over the fall break. Thank you parents for sharing the love of reading with your child and supporting our school library. A special shout out to all our great volunteers who helped to make the fair a success! We look forward to seeing you and your child in the spring for new summer reads!
