Keeping Up with Comm Arts
~ December 2, 2024 ~
Hello Comm Arts Family and Friends!
We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving break. As we gear up for the end of the semester, we encourage you to keep an eye on grades and attendance. Comm Arts students need to stay focused and prepared, with only two weeks until semester exams and three more weeks until winter break.
Thank you for your continued support in your child's education. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Progress Reports are available via HAC on Monday, December 2nd. If you have friends, family, or neighbors who would love to join the Comm Arts family, please invite them to visit tonight's Magnet Fair from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Northside Sports Gym (December 2nd). Magnet school applications are open.
Wednesday, December 4th is Professional Learning Time. Teachers will be in a meeting before school. There will be no morning tutoring. Comm Arts will also have Attendance Recovery on Wednesday in the LGI from 4:20-6 pm.
Campus Highlights
Esports
On Saturday, November 16th, the Esports Team competed in the district qualifiers and had a great time. Here you can see the team competing in Super Smash Brothers and Rocket League dressed in our new campus jerseys.

Spanish
The week before Thanksgiving break, students in Advanced Spanish 3 collaborated on a Hexagonal Thinking activity to create meaningful connections between ideas. They collaborated, engaged in creative thinking, and practiced Spanish vocabulary related to Health and Wellness.
Additionally, Dana Cifuentes will represent Comm Arts in the District Spanish Spelling Bee on December 4th. We wish her the best of luck; she has been working and preparing so much over the last couple of weeks.

Our AP Gov students showcased their imagery skills from A. Hamilton's Point of view of POTUS with Fed #70. Seniors showed solid evidence of always being young enough to enjoy creativity in an AP class.
